England limited overs captain Eoin Morgan has been banned after a slow-over rate in their ODI against Pakistan at Bristol’s county ground.

This is the second time Morgan and England have been found to be going through the 50 overs slowly after they were caught against the West Indies in Febuary.

It took the home-side four hours to complete their 50 overs.

The 32-year-old has been charged 40% of his match fee and will miss England’s fourth game of the ODI series against Pakistan on Friday. The rest of the squad have been charged 20% of their match fees.

Yorkshire batsman Jonny Bairstow has also been charged after hitting his stumps after being bowled out. Bairstow was bowled out for 128 which proved to be a match winning innings with England winning by 6 wickets.

England play two more ODI’s against Pakistan before the start of the ICC World Cup in which they will face South Africa in their first game at the KIA Oval.
