"Outplayed" England suffer an embarrassing 10 wicket defeat to the West Indies to lose the series.
Once again this series, England's batting line up collapsed in the second innings when in pursuit of the 119 run deficit needed to give the West Indies a competitive target. England lost their first six wickets for 61 runs and the West Indies rattled through England's lower order to set themselves a target of just 17 runs after getting the Three Lions all out for 132.
England have struggled to cope with the Windies' bowlers this tour with only Jonny Bairstow, Moeen Ali and Rory Burns acheiving a half century across both test matches. The Windies stand out bowler throughout the test series has been seam bowler Kemar Roach who has taken 13 wickets so far this series with one test to play. His pace and movement of the ball has proved too much for the English with him taking important scalps such as Bairstow and Burns.
England captain Joe Root reflected on the test saying "We've been outperformed once again. It's hard to take,
"We came here to win and to find ourselves out of it with a game to go is hard to take. We have been outplayed, outperformed and have to take that on the chin."
The third and final test of the series takes place on 9th Febuary in St Lucia in which Root's side will be looking to avoid a series whitewash.
"It's been disappointing with the bat here and last week, so it's a great chance for us to right some wrongs."
England will be looking focussed on getting a crucial win in the last test of the series with it being their penultimate test before they face the Australians in the Ashes on the 1st August at Edgbaston.
