Is this the way to save English football?

Many England fans are going into 2017 uncertain about the road ahead for the England team under the management of Gareth Southgate after Roy Hodgson resigned after the crushing loss to Iceland in the Euros. At that moment in time English football seemed to be crumbling and many fans saw the international breaks as a total waste of time as they had no desire to watch their national team. If we're honest we are not going to be able to get rid of the internationals against San Marino and Lithuania so my theory is that the Premier League should play on through the international break. It's logical as it would give young English players the opportunity to play in the top flight as stars such as Adam Lallana, Dele Alli and Gary Cahill will be away serving their country.

This kind of system is used in the English Rugby premiership to develop young talents and give them experience. An example of this is Maro Itoje who is 22-years-old and plays at Saracens. Over the past few seasons he had been getting game time when the international senior players were away with their countries and took his opportunity and secured a spot in the starting 15. He now plays regularly and is in the England team and won the 2016 world rugby breakthrough player of the year. We have seen the result of youth players being given a chance in the first team such as Marcus Rashford so we should ensure we make the most of our young talents.

This theory may bring the standard of football down during the international break but in the long term would result in more English players playing in a league dominated by foreigners. It would allow young players to get the opportunity to secure a place in the starting team and would lead to a bigger player pool for Gareth Southgate to choose from. It would also prevent talent being wasted by players being sent on loan or sold to football league teams and therefore the players disappearing of the face of the earth. I dare say this but maybe... just maybe it may lead to World class England players again, I'm sure Alan Shearer would have something to say about that. Hopefully this could lead to England getting back to the top of the international football ladder and hopefully we will see young players such as Ruben loftus-Cheek of Chelsea and Chuba Akpom of Arsenal ripping up the Premier League and the international scene. For the sake of the state of English football please implement something to let our youth blossom.
