Todays top 3 consists of three of the top sporting stories of the day.
3- At number three we have Harlequins winning a tense and hard fought match at Twickenham over Gloucester. The game finished 28-24 to Quins with them seeming to have a healthy lead built up in the first half. However, yellow cards for both sides resulted in momentum swinging between the sides. Gloucester seemed to make the most of their advantage and managed to conjure two scores in the overall twenty minutes that Harlequins spent with 14 men. Gloucester seemed likely to continue their momentum and get the winning score but couldn't handle the pressure and Quins managed to hold on for a valuable win.
2-Liverpool managed to recover from going 1-0 down early on to go on to thrash Stoke City 4-1. Stoke City took the lead in the 12th minute through a Jonathan Walters header, catching Simon Mignolet out of position. Liverpool kept pressuring Stoke and eventually it paid dividend as Adam Lallana capitalised on a Glen Johnson mistake to score from an acute angle. Liverpool maintained their pressure which has become a trait under Jurgen Klopp and ten minutes later they took the lead as Firminio fired in a left footed strike from inside the penalty area which deflected off both posts then eventually went over the line. After half time Liverpool maintained their domination and got another when Origi fired a low searching cross across the six yard box which was turned into his own net by Gianella Imbula. This seemed to seal the game as Stoke were unable to pressure Liverpool. Daniel Sturridge had the final word as he capitalised on a Ryan Shawcross mistake to take it around the keeper and slot it home on his return. Liverpool return to second but still remain six points behind high flying Chelsea.
1- Bob Bradley has been sacked by Swansea after he has failed to make a difference at the struggling swans. They have lost 7 of their 11 games under Bradley and as a result the Swans are looking to find the answer to their almost certain relegation. They will maintain their reputation as the odds on favourites to go down to the Championship at the end of the season.
